Revelation 3:20 (KJV) God Still Knocks

Revelation 3:20 (KJV)
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Of the seven churches Jesus wrote to in the Revelation, none of them is so negatively addressed as Laodicea. There isn’t a positive thing said to them. They see themselves as having it all when Jesus said they had nothing. The church at Philadelphia had something to hold on to, something to protect from those who would take it from them. Laodicea had already lost it.
But notice, it is to this church Jesus promises, “…if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Oh what mercy and what grace our God has toward us. In our worst moments He pours out His best gifts.
This is no excuse for Laodicea. But it is hope. When we are at our lowest, and He has no good reason to be there, God still knocks. Jesus still invites us to open the door and sup with Him.
