John 12:9-11 (KJV) Let Your Life Be The Reason

John 12:9-11 (KJV)
Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

There is no question that Lazarus’ case is a unique one:

• He had been dead four days
• He had been sealed in the tomb and
• He had been personally raised again by Jesus 

But beyond that he wasn’t much different than any other believer:

• He still gathered with others
• He still ate at suppers and
• He could still be killed[1]

Lazarus was resurrected no more certainly than any Christian is. His life became the talk of the town because, well, he was alive. When a person gets saved his or her life is resurrected by none other than Jesus Christ. Whatever they were before, they could not be the same again. The difference is life. And that life can be the reason, should be the reason many others leave their old life and believe on Jesus.
