Luke 13:1-5 (KJV)
There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Barnes Notes says of this, “It does not mean that Pilate “offered” their blood in sacrifice, but that, as they were sacrificing, he killed them.”
This event, which is not found in any other piece of history, was grievous enough that those around Jesus wanted to speak about it.[1] the point of this account, and the one of the tower, is simply this, as horrendous as these deaths were, they are nothing compared to hell. A person can protest all they wish. Pilate did a cruel thing; the tower should have been built better. Lay blame all we wish, the result is still the same, these people perished.
More so, despite the objections of unbelievers, skeptics, scoffers and religious liberals, hell and the Lake of Fire are real and, for those outside of Christ unavoidable. To protest the truth of hell by going there is as foolish as protesting Pilate’s atrocities by being slain with his victims or protesting poor construction by standing under a falling tower.
Repent. Come to Jesus Christ. Confess your sins and seek His grace. He will save you and then you will see the absolute love in God’s plan of salvation.
