Acts 3:13 (KJV) Powerful Preaching

Acts 3:13 (KJV)
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

What a great event, the healing of the crippled at the gate called Beautiful. The miracle was:

• Immediate 
• Obvious and 
• Life changing

And the response was an appropriate one, people were amazed and wondered, an opportunity to preach was presented and Peter grabbed hold of it. 

What is amazing to me, and worth noting, is that his message was a confrontational one. He immediately pointed out that the miracle was not due to any virtue of the apostles but through Jesus Christ, the one they had delivered to Pilate and denied freedom when Pilate was determined to let Him go. 

Powerful preaching is often negative, confrontational, personal and accusatory. It’s never about what people have done to the preacher but what they have done to Christ
