Job 7:1 (KJV) Where Is That Confidence Today?

Job 7:1 (KJV)
Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
The train of thought presented in this verse continues to verse seven. Job understood he had an appointed time on earth.
He would not die until God appointed it
There was no reason to fear for his life. Even in the depths of the trial he faced, his life on earth was secure until God was ready for him to go. And, because he was confident in his relationship with God, that would be a win.
He would die when it was his appointed time
There is no way to cheat death. Therefore, a person needs to prepare for it. People today are terrified because they are not prepared or else, they do not appreciate their future. Paul wrote,
2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Where, I ask, is that confidence, that willingness today?
