Galatians 3:17 (KJV)
And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

In my daily visit with God on the 4th of April, 2020, I concluded with the words, “Let us, as did Job, hold fast our righteousness in Christ.”  This morning, when I prepared that visit for posting, I had to take a moment to think about that phrase. Some of my readers lean toward hyper dispensationalism and divide things much more strictly than I believe is profitable. I can hear some of them remarking that Job would not have known anything about righteousness in Christ. 

Galatians 3:17 confirms my original post. The Bible teaches us that the covenant God made with Abraham was “confirmed before of God in Christ” four hundred and thirty years before the law. 

Jesus said “Before Abraham was, I am” Abraham, as did Job, possessed righteousness by faith in the promised Christ. 

That is the only righteousness that avails any man.
