Psalms 125:2 (KJV)
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Years ago, I was a contributing writer for the Call to Glory devotional booklet. I enjoyed writing those 250 or so word pieces and did most of mine from illustrations and incidents that happened to or around me. I attempted to find spiritual lessons in day to day events. 

This verse is a biblical example of this same concept. The Bible is filled with spiritual lessons drawn from life happenings. The Psalmist must have looked at those mountains round about Jerusalem every day of his life. Who knows how many times he had considered how those mountains reminded him that God surrounds, protects, provides, and fellowships with his children?

There came a day when the Holy Spirit led him to put that thought to pen. 

We will not write new scripture. But we might be a blessing to other believers or even to our future family if we put to pen the spiritual thoughts we gain from life.
