To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
God has appointed the following for those who mourn in Zion:
Beauty for ashes- Joy for mourning
- Praise for heaviness
One would be hard-pressed to find where God lifts up those who have found reason in this world to rejoice. He, however, avows constantly to take note of and compensate those who see the failing of this world.
That they might be called trees of righteousness
They stand for the righteousness God has imparted to them and they are known for it. This is all of the Lord and it, therefore, glorifies Him.
