As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
“As for Saul”
This person was introduced to us in the previous chapter and will become the primary figure of the rest of the book of Acts.
“As for Saul”
- We first see him consenting unto the death of Stephen
- We next find him making havoc of the church then
- We learn of his conversion to Christ
“As for Saul”
There was first accommodation for sin. Then there was participation in sin. Praise the Lord we find there was finally repentance of sin.
“As for Saul”
What if someone were to write your story?
“As for Joe”
“As for Debbie”
“As for you”
God doesn’t ignore or sweep your sins under a carpet. He is fully aware of those times you consented to sin and those times you joined into the sin. What matters though is this, has there been a time when you repented of that sin and trusted Jesus Christ?
