But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Daniel was given some pretty specific details of the end of days. Still, Daniel asked for more. There were some questions left unanswered in his mind. There were some details he could see were still missing. But when he asked about them, he was told to “go thy way”. The rest of the story was sealed.
To this very day, Bible students get themselves into trouble because they cannot let this go. They are certain there must be more here. They are sure that the missing links of prophecy exist, if only they can be creative enough to draw them out of the Scriptures.
Daniel was told to, “go thy way.” But he was also given these assurances:
- Thou shalt rest
- And stand in thy lot
- At the end of days
I take that to mean he would die, be resurrected, and live in eternity.
Go thy way. Live your life, trust the Lord with the details you haven’t gotten exactly clear. Rest assured you will either be raptured or resurrected into His presence. And then you will experience the fulfillment of all of the promises of God.
