Ezekiel 33:11 (KJV)
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
The Jews, under conviction through the preaching, ask the question, “If we pine away in our transgressions, how shall we then live?”
- What do we do to change the course?
- What do we do to stop the death?
God’s answer was just this simple, “Turn ye, Turn ye from your evil ways.”
I think this has got to be the message of every blood bought child of God today. We must call out to people, “Turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways.”
Before, of course, they will hear with sincerity and earnestly turn from their evil ways, they’ll need to accept that they are pining away in their transgressions. Faithful preaching will contribute to this. But it will be the working of the Lord that convinces them they are indeed pining away.
Working just as we see Him doing in our world today.
