Romans 12:1 (KJV) No MVP’s Here

Romans 12:1 (KJV)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

I want to couple this verse today with, Romans 12:3-5 (KJV)
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

My suggestion is that the living sacrifice is accomplished through the surrender of ourselves to the body of Christ, which is the local church to which God has made us a member.

A local church has no MVP. Each and every member is of an inestimable value. We each function differently and for a different purpose in the church but each of us has a function that is vital to the life of the church.

To be a living sacrifice is, at the very least, to submit ourselves as one functioning member of that body.

To my readers:
First of all, thank you! It is a great joy to me to know you read the thoughts and lessons God has given me in His word. Secondly, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave comments.
