What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
The more things appear to change, the more it is apparent things never really change.
I can barely imagine that this question must be considered, “Shall we continue in sin?”
What would possess a Christian even to want to continue in sin?
And yet today, just as it was in the first century, Christians look for an out – a way to get their cake and eat it too. Christians try to figure out how to be forgiven of their sins while at the same time continuing in them.
That thing for which we need forgiveness is the thing we ought to quit.
And the best part is, the same God who has forgiven us of those sins has equipped us to quit them.
The question is settled. Stop debating it. Reckon ourselves dead indeed unto sin and move on to allow the Holy Spirit of God to live out righteousness through us.
