Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
The context is the manservant and the maidservant. Job says the reason to treat them fairly and consider their request when they have a problem is that God made both he and them alike.
This truth is being robbed of us today. With such a strong push toward atheism, so is the move away from equality, fairness, and even kindness for our fellow man.
The poor are being sold a bill of goods to believe that those in power would care for them if only they would give them more power. Those who do not consider God do not think any man their equal. They see themselves as only brute beasts with the right to take from others whatever they can get from them. The only value they find in their following is that the more who follow, the more they might take from others.
Faith, the belief in the God of the Bible, places all men on equal ground. It is only this faith that has the power to push against fleshly selfishness.
The answer for an unequal world is more of God.
