Psalms 119:36 (KJV) Why Would We Want Them?

Psalms 119:36 (KJV)

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

The word “testimonies” has to do with a witness. It is an obvious reference to the Word of God. As we develop a love for the Word of

the Lord, we see in it repeated testimonies of God’s care and provision for His people. This care is not sparse. God pours out upon His children the most wonderful blessings. Those in the Bible did not all experience the same blessings. And it would be difficult to find any of them whose way was without trouble. But in the end, they received such wonderful care from Almighty God.

The believer who spends much time in the Book will discover this very same wonderful care.

Why would we want this world’s things when we can have God’s instead?
