Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
To follow the line of doctrine of Romans three we learn that,
The Jews do have an advantage over the Gentiles, specifically that the Word of God came to them first.
Vs 1-2
This advantage, however, does not make them better than the Gentiles.
Vs 9
God is the God of both the Jews and the Gentiles.
Vs 29
Both Jews and Gentiles are justified by and through faith alone. The Jews were blessed to have been used of the Lord to give the world the Word of God. They were also blessed to be the people from which the Saviour came. But in neither case are they made better than others, nor are that provided a way of salvation unique to themselves.
Boasting is excluded for both because both the Jew and the Gentile are saved in the same manner.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
