But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
The Bible says the believers in Judaea did not meet Paul. They had only heard that he had been converted and now preached the faith. The Bible says then that they glorified God in him.
I do not believe they thanked God that he no longer persecuted them but that he had gotten saved.
- They did not need to see it for themselves
- They were content with the testimonies of others
- They rejoiced that one such as Saul of Tarsus would come not only to be saved but to proclaim the message of salvation.
There are souls whose faces we will never see on this side of eternity. We can only hear of their conversions.
We should not need to know a soul personally to glorify God that they are saved and serving Jesus.
