And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
There are just three possible places a man may be
- In heaven
- In earth or
- Under the earth
If a man is not alive on earth, he is in either heaven or hell.
In hell, he still exists. Notice that in no case is the man said to be void of consciousness. No one is buried and gone for good.
He is alive
- In heaven
- In the earth or
- In hell
Notice that those in heaven cannot do what only Christ can do. No one becomes an angel. There is no extraordinary miracle working sainthood. The man who is in heaven is there strictly because of the grace of God. Christ and Christ alone is worthy.
What happens while a man is on earth determines whether he finally goes to heaven or hell. If he comes to Christ and asks for salvation, he will be in heaven. If he never does trust Christ, he will be eternally in hell.
If you have never trusted Jesus alone to save you, I beg you to do that now.
