Psalms 144:12 (KJV) Guarding Faith and Family

Psalms 144:12 (KJV)
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

The portion of the Psalm this verse finds itself begins, Psalms 144:11 (KJV)
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

Separation is a key to happiness in the faith

  • Separation leads to successful witnessing
  • Separation leads to strength of character
  • Separation also lends to raising godly sons and daughters

One of the signs of degenerate faith is the lack of discernment surrounding associations. Those associations we believe to be entertaining and innocent:

  • Destroy our testimony
  • Denigrate our faith and, too often
  • Defile our children
