Job
2:10 KJV
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women
speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not
receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
What a wonderful statement of faith comes from the
mouth of Job.
He does not attempt to excuse or explain his circumstances
away. He saw both the good and the evil as coming from the Lord. "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be
the name of the Lord."
In all of this Job did not accuse God. These were the
just and righteous actions of an all powerful and all benevolent God. His will,
- In
blessing with good things
- In
testing for our spiritual growth
- In
placing us in a furnace to be a witness
is always the glorious, good and perfect will.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
