To The Contrary

Esther 9:1 KJV
Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)

The enemies of God and His people always hope to have power over them.
  • They will imprison them if they can, but God will use their prison as a house to raise the next ruler of Egypt
  • They will slay their children if they can, but God will take one that should not have lived to grow up in Pharaoh's palace and deliver Israel
  • They will force him into fleeing for their lives, but God will use those years of flight to raise up the greatest of the Kings in Israel.
  • They will carry them into captivity if they can but God will use that captivity to cause the likes of Daniel and Nehemiah to shine.
  • They will kill away all of the people of God if they can, but God will place an Esther in the king's palace to turn their evil intentions to the contrary.

  • This world would love to have the power over the people of God.
  • Sin would love to dominate God's people
  • Satan would love to destroy the faith in Christ
But I believe God. I believe He will continue to turn our enemies' desires to the contrary.
