Revelation 17:1 (KJV) Talking With the Angels

Revelation 17:1 (KJV)
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

The subject of this chapter is intense and it is important. The prophetic nature of the chapter, as well as the context of judgment must not be ignored. But permit my thoughts just now to dwell on another form of wonderment; that a man could simply talk with an angel.

This is a heavenly scene. It’s not one that is duplicated, at least in this literal of a sense, in our age. But every indication is that this will be a natural and normal event in eternity.

Imagine talking with the angels!

• The wisdom
• The experiences
• The insights 

that we might gain from such conversations will be incredible.

Notice the casual tone of the verse. Though the subject is far from laid back, the angel came to talk with John and John engaged in the conversation as if it were commonplace.

I don’t imagine that we can imagine half of what heaven will be. This verse hints at just one of those heavenly wonders that belong to those who are saved and for whom a place is prepared in heaven.
