Mark 16:9 (KJV)
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
He appeared first to Mary Magdalene.
- She was not one of the Apostles
- She was not present for that first Lord’s Supper
- She was not male
- She would not write an inspired piece of the Word of God
- She had been devil riddled previous to meeting Jesus
But Jesus appeared to her first.
A person doesn’t have to be great in the eyes of others to be a priority to God.
However:
- She was the first to the tomb
- She had met Jesus and been healed and
- She was faithful to go and tell the others.
If Jesus has saved you, make Him your priority and willingly speak of Him.
God will hold that in higher esteem than anything else.
