Romans 5:2 (KJV) This Grace By Faith

Romans 5:2 (KJV)
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The Word of God calls it “this grace.” There is grace for more than one aspect of our relationship with God. This is the grace that provides peace with God. We are already justified in verse one and peace is created. But not all who have been justified experience peace.

This grace is likened to a building. Jesus Christ is the door into this grace and faith is the key that unlocks and provides the access.

I have known souls who have called upon Christ for salvation but have little peace with God. They are constantly questioning whether they are truly saved. They worry whether they have:

• Prayed right or 
• Repented enough or 
• Maybe the soul winner wasn’t right

Peace is accessed by faith.

It only comes through trusting the promises of the Word of God. That can only come through personal study of the Word of God. We have to get our own oil for our lamps through personal study of the Word of God. We have to access this grace through the exercise of our own faith.

No one else can do that for us.
