2 Corinthians 13:7-9 (KJV) Never Settle

2 Corinthians 13:7-9 (KJV)
Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.
Paul’s concern was not what the people thought of him but that their relationship with Christ was true and growing. He did not desire that he appeared powerful in their eyes. He did desire that they:
  • Would do no evil
  • Would do what is honest
  • Would be strong, and in fact
  • Would be perfect
A preacher must not settle for a ministry without trouble. If battle is necessary for the perfection of his congregation then he must boldly embrace the good fight.
