Hebrews 3:16 (KJV) Some But Not All

Hebrews 3:16 (KJV)
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
I imagine that the most challenging thing we go through in a time of trouble is to major on the good things. When problems come we believe we have to address them. They have to be our focus:
  • The problem demands it
  • Responsibilities seem to assume it
  • Others expect it
It feels like, if the trouble isn’t first in our thoughts, we will never get through the trouble.
But we are never encouraged to count our troubles, only God’s thoughts toward us.
Psalms 139:17-18
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
Israel had some who provoked God to wrath in Moses’ day. Some. Even most. But not all of them.
It would be better to turn our attention upon those who did not cause problems instead of the troublemakers.

To my readers:
First of all, thank you! It is a great joy to me to know you read the thoughts and lessons God has given me in His word. Secondly, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave comments.
