Psalms 119:20 (KJV) The Breaking Soul

Psalms 119:20 (KJV)
My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

The Psalmist expresses what I think is the heart of many believers in our day.

  • He loved the Word of God
  • He knew the judgments of God to be right and to be holy
  • He understood that the world rejected those judgments

and therefore his soul was broken.

Have not all believers experienced this same trouble? There is a divide that exists between the believer whose God is the Lord and the unbeliever whose god is

  • Self,
  • Sovereigns or
  • Satan.

How our soul breaks for the day when God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.
