Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.
“Lift up your eyes. Redemption draweth nigh”
Those of us who are students, and more importantly, believers of the Word of God, would be quick today to say, “Signs of the times are everywhere.” Though none of us would be so foolish as to set a date for Jesus’ return,[1] it feels to us like those signs of the end times are indeed, everywhere. I cannot remember a day in my lifetime when life was as little regarded as today. Almost a day never goes by now that we don’t hear of a police officer killed for no reason other than he or she is a police officer. Businesses are vandalized daily. Cars are looted. Vehicles are burned and seniors are beaten because someone didn’t like them promoting their preferred candidates.
- The land is full of blood
- The city is full of perverseness
- They do say, “The Lord seeth not.”
But He does see.
“Lift up your eyes. Redemption draweth nigh.”
