John 20:20 (KJV)
And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
It’s not like it was “a natural” for them to see Him:
The two who went to the grave missed Him
As yet they knew not the scripture that He must rise again from the grave. They just went home.
Mary nearly missed Him
She supposed Him to be the gardener.
Thomas missed Him the first week
He wasn’t assembled with the disciples that first, first day of the week.
Wow, it’s easy to miss Jesus! The natural man just isn’t in tune with the things of God.
But those who see Him, when they see Him, are glad.
