John 21:11 (KJV) Our Work, Without Jesus

John 21:11 (KJV)

Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Some things I noticed:
Jesus had fish the disciples had not caught
We need to remember we are not the only ones out there. The Lord can get and is getting His work done without us.

He enabled them to catch the fish they caught

They had toiled all night and had caught nothing. Our work, without Jesus’ enablement, is nothing; even if we think it looks like something. (Peter had influenced the disciples to go with him. He could have argued his influence was “something.”)

The 153 fishes didn’t break the net
When it is the Lord’s catch, none of them are lost.
